The Sumendu Lake, Mirik's most famous location, is lovely, quiet, and yet energising. For those who don't want to walk around the lake, there is an 80-foot bridge that spans it. Exhilarating adventures include lake boating and a lakeside pony ride. The lake also has the strategic benefit of being within walking distance of almost every location in town. Simana is a viewpoint on the Darjeeling - Mirik Road in West Bengal, located 6 kilometres from Pashupati Market, 20 kilometres from Mirik, and 24 kilometres from Darjeeling. It is one of the most popular perspectives in Mirik and one of the must-see Tourist Places in Mirik, located on the Indo-Nepal border. Simana Viewpoint, at an elevation of 7500 feet, is a 60-foot-by-40-foot platform with spectacular views of the surrounding plains, Mount Kanchenjunga's snow-capped summits, and Nepal's small hamlets. In Hindi, the word simana signifies boundary. This is the Indo-Nepal border region; the road is in India, but the viewing area is in Nepal.
