When observed from Keylong, this glacier is located at an altitude of around 6000 metres. 'Lady Elashainghday' named it such over a century ago during British rule. It remains snow covered round the year. But, in the middle there is seen a dark bare patch of rocks that looks like the figure of a woman, walking with a load on her back.
